Please check our Online Store > Online Store

These sets are specially selected and hand picked from several hundreds of acoustic sets which we just milled from salvaged timbers in our warehouse in Brazil.

Just last week we brought 25 sets to show off at the 2010 NW Handmade Musical Instruments Exhibit in Portland, Oregon where our head office is located.

Unfortunately, we have already sold most of it.

We reserved about 5 sets for our online store but they are even sold off as I write this post.

We are sorry to disappoint many folks out there who are inquiring with us, looking to make your first purchase from us. Our current priority, however, is filling large wholesale orders.  Our limited staff and setup at the moment is not equipped to support large demand from individual luthiers. We plan to improve our retail/online store and our general customer service this year. Please don’t give up on us!

If you are seriously looking for premium Brazilian Rosewood and are able to purchase 10 sets or more, trust us enough to put down a deposit, and can bare with us for several weeks of bureaucracy and headache of getting proper CITES permits and documentation, THEN, WE CAN arrange a special shipment just for you. We can even export it to any country in the world for you.

I am sorry for being cynical and unprofessional sounding but that is the price and extra work of getting CITES permitted and certified Brazilian Rosewood nowadays.

Please know that though we are small, Madeira Inc is the only company in the world who can bring Brazilian Rosewood directly from the source to you;

  • We FIND OUR OWN salvaged wood  (We are NOT a broker like others out there who really don’t know or care where their wood comes from.)
  • We MILL our own wood at our own mill in Brazil for guitar parts.
  • We get it PROPERLY certified with Brazil’s control and managing government authority.
  • We EXPORT it with proper CITES permit from Brazil’s government authority.
  • We IMPORT/bring it with proper permits and documentation and endorsement issued by the USDA, Dept. of Homeland Security, US Customs and Border Protection service to the United States. (Not to miss US Fish and Wildlife for re-export process)

We will have limited number of Brazilian Rosewood and other tonewood for the exhibit.
